Church of Uganda

This programme gives people access to healthy drinking water close to their homes, through the construction of gravity flow systems and watertanks that collect rain water. Next to specific water related activities, environmental awareness is promoted (e.g. erosion control on slopes) as well as a more sustainable way of farming and land use.

Pentecostal Assemblies of God

The goal of this programme is to contribute to the broader development of communities in several PAG pastorates through scaled up advocacy interventions. The approach this programme follows is the Participatory Evaluation Process (PEP) methodology. This is designed to mobilise communities and churches to design, plan, implement and evaluate their own development processes. Because communities are better equipped to advocate for their rights to regional authorities, they obtained better access to food, education, healthy drinking water and health care.

Share An Opportunity

Baptist churches and church members in South West Uganda were are inspired and equipped through Church and Community Mobilisation to become active in their own community. As a result new initiatives are born, e.g. microcredit groups are formed and community members start their own enterprise to generate income.
